Athur M Blank Hospital

Arthur M. Blank Hospital, a facility of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, is a 446-bed freestanding pediatric acute care children's hospital located at 2220 North Druid Hills Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30329. It officially opened on September 29, 2024, made possible by a $200 million donation from The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation, marking the largest donation in Children's Healthcare of Atlanta's history and the single largest naming gift to a freestanding pediatric hospital. The 19-story, 2-million-square-foot hospital is the largest healthcare project in Georgia's history and is designed to improve the quality of care, patient experience, and access to specialized pediatric healthcare for children across Georgia and beyond. It features Georgia's only dedicated Level 1 pediatric trauma center, a 70,000 square-foot Emergency Department (nearly three times the size of Egleston's former ED), state-of-the-art operating rooms, an infusion center, and advanced diagnostic equipment. The hospital consolidated clinical services from the former Egleston Hospital and the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center from both Egleston and Scottish Rite campuses. The facility is set on a 70-acre campus with over 20 acres of greenspace, providing calming views from patient rooms and opportunities for exposure to nature and healing. It boasts larger, brighter, private rooms designed for family comfort, along with convenient family amenities on every floor such as washers, dryers, family lounges, and kitchenettes. Innovative features include a Special Care Unit for highly infectious diseases, three cardiovascular operating rooms, an inpatient dialysis unit, and a Marcus Center for Cellular Therapy for advanced cell and gene therapies. The hospital also utilizes autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) for material delivery and a pneumatic tube system for waste management.
